REPORT: DOJ and FBI Officials Seeking Legal Counsel

Donald Trump’s appointment for Attorney General, Matt Gaetz, has created a wave of panic in the Department of Justice and the FBI.

Even though I do not believe Gaetz will be confirmed, the appointment itself is sending a clear signal to operatives who turned the machine against Trump.

To that point, reports are blowing up that numerous DOJ and FBI officials are now seeking outside counsel in fear of being prosecuted by Donald Trump’s DOJ.

Sweet Revenge

I want to be clear, I would not support bogus prosecutions of officials just for the sake of revenge, but I don’t see that happening here.

I believe departments will be audited to see who operated outside the lines and went rogue to try to go after Trump solely because he was running for president again.

If you followed the rules, you have nothing to worry about, but if you were part of this lawfare that Republicans keep referring to, well, you deserve to be investigated and possibly prosecuted.

Gaetz will be challenged for the Attorney General post, but the appointment has terrified both agencies.

One former FBI official who was reportedly involved in the Trump investigations stated, “Everything we did was aboveboard. But this is a different world.”

That statement is a lie because we already know the FBI bent the rules on FISA warrants when it was investigating Trump for Russian collusion.

Stephen Gillers, an ethics professor at New York University Law School, claimed, “Trump aims to neutralize sources of power that may impede him.

“That includes the law and legal institutions. He will tolerate no interference when the department’s decisions will benefit Trump and his buddies or when its power can be deployed to retaliate against his enemies.”

For his part, Trump has stated that he will not be out for revenge, claiming that a successful second term will be all the revenge he needs.

That claim will be tested soon enough, as Trump will be taking office in two months… then the fun begins.
