REPORT: DHS Created Censorship Group

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and his House Judiciary Committee dropped a bit of a bombshell on the American people this week.

A report by the committee found that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) created the Standford University Disinformation Group.

The purpose of the organization was to censor the American people prior to the 2020 election.

So, this would have happened during the Trump administration, with Chad Wolf then serving as the boss of DHS, but the policies clearly continued under Joe Biden.

The Judiciary Committee report cites an email from the Election Integrity Partnership (EIP), which was reportedly working with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).

The report claims, “[T]he federal government and universities pressured social media companies to censor true information, jokes, and political opinions.

“This pressure was largely directed in a way that benefitted one side of the political aisle: true information posted by Republicans and conservatives was labeled as ‘misinformation’ while false information posted by Democrats and liberals was largely unreported and untouched by the censors.”

Even though this was all started during the Trump administration, we saw this practice continued under the Biden administration, with cases having gone all the way to the Supreme Court on the matter.

CISA executive director Brandon Wales responded to the report, stating, “Every day, the men and women of CISA execute the agency’s mission of reducing risk to U.S. critical infrastructure in a way that protects Americans’ freedom of speech, civil rights, civil liberties, and privacy.

“In response to concerns from election officials of all parties regarding foreign influence operations and disinformation that may impact the security of election infrastructure, CISA mitigates the risk of disinformation by sharing information on election literacy and election security with the public and by amplifying the trusted voices of election officials across the nation.”

The CISA was founded in 2018 to improve federal cybersecurity programs, but this is clearly not all that was happening here.

Who I want to hear from is Chad Wolf, and have him attempt to explain how this happened and why conservatives were being targeted.
