Report Claims Hundreds of Chicago Teachers Assaulted Students

A new report has revealed that hundreds of Chicago school teachers have been investigated over the past year for claims of sexual assault or grooming.

The report from the Chicago Public Schools' Office of the Inspector General, the 2021-2022 school documented 772 investigations into teachers for allegedly raping, sexually assaulting, or grooming students.

"The office was able to close 600 'adult on student' cases in the past year, and substantiated more than half of the allegations. Despite that, only 16 of the cases have resulted in charges," Breitbart News reported.

"Some cases involved taking trips to Las Vegas, Ibiza, London, and the Bahamas for sexual purposes," it continued.

"While the majority of cases involved high school students, some involved children as young as fourth grade," the outlet added.

"SAU investigated a Chicago high school substitute teacher for grooming several students for sex and engaging in sexual acts with at least one student on school property, the OIG found," the Daily Caller reported.

"The CPS teacher allegedly talked to students about their sex lives in person and through social media, cell phones, and "other common grooming techniques," according to the OIG. The report stated the teacher gave the "student unnecessary passes to exclude her from class, and encouraging students to confide in him about personal problems."

The report added that over the past four years, over 1,700 cases have been reported. Just 16 criminal charges have been filed.

The disturbing report adds to growing concerns in Chicago that have led to controversies regarding Democratic Mayor Lori Lightfoot.

The school system's latest report provides a serious reason for further investigation into the claims of sexual activities between teachers and students.
