REPORT: Biden and NYC Mayor Have Not Spoken in a Year

It would appear that there is a bit of a rift between the White House and a rising star in the Democrat Party.

Reports broke on Thanksgiving that New York City Mayor Eric Adams should not be expecting a call from Joe Biden anytime soon, as the two parties have not reportedly spoken in about a year.

That would coincide with remarks by Adams when Texas started to ship him migrants and Adams had made his deal with a Democrat border mayor to start taking migrants from Texas.

Nothing to Say

Adams has been very outspoken regarding the lack of support by this administration when it comes to financial support for all the migrants that Biden has been permitting to enter this country.

This has been going on since Biden took office, mind you, but it started to garner national headlines when Governor Abbott started to bus migrants to Democrat sanctuary cities.

While Adams’ migrants are largely from a deal he struck with a Democrat border mayor, he has played it off as though they are all part of Abbott’s program, when, in reality, they only account for about 10% of all the migrants that are now located in New York.

Regardless, once Adams started sounding off, Biden just tuned him out, with reports saying the two have not spoken since January, nor has Biden even brought Adams up behind closed doors.

I would not expect Adams to get a call anytime soon with an investigation now being conducted into Adams’ fundraising.

Adams addressed the shut-out by Biden during a recent town hall, telling attendees, "D.C. has abandoned us, and they need to be paying their cost to this national problem.”

Adams recently also announced that severe cost-cutting measures were being undertaken to the city budget to meet the demand of the migrants, including police, sanitation, and education budgets.

Adams stated, "For months, we have warned New Yorkers about the challenging fiscal situation our city faces.

"To balance the budget as the law requires, every city agency dug into their own budget to find savings, with minimal disruption to services."

To give you a gauge on this for Texas, New York is averaging about 10,000 migrants per month over the last year, while Texas averages more than 5,000 per day, so don’t expect a shoulder to cry on from the Lone Star State Mayor Adams.

Welcome to our reality.
