REPORT: Air Marshals Diverted from Protecting Flights to Follow January 6 Suspects
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and Joe Biden are coming under severe scrutiny due to a new report regarding January 6.
An association representing Air Marshals has stated that agents were pulled away from their normal duties of protecting sensitive flights by DHS.
Their new mission was to follow and monitor January 6 suspects, even if they had not been or were not suspected of having committed any crimes on that day.
Horrifying Revelation
This report surfaced after it had been reported that the FBI let an alleged child rapist go free so agents could work on January 6 cases.
After the riot at the Capitol, Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) and then-Rep. John Katko (R-N.Y.) penned a letter to the head of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) David Pekoske.
The letter requested that the agency “disrupt the travel of terrorists who just attacked the seat of the U.S. government.” They claimed “online chatter” showed that these terrorists could be al-Qaeda-style bombers.
It turns out, this entire situation was discovered after one Air Marshal was assigned to surveil another Air Marshal because they found out that his wife had been in town on January 6.
In return, David Londo and Sonya LaBosco, the president and executive director of the Air Marshal National Council, an association that represents air marshals, wrote a letter to House members after Republicans took control of the House to make them aware of the situation.
The letter stated, “We have recently become aware that the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) are improperly classifying innocent Americans as ‘Domestic Terrorists’ on internal TSA/FAMS databases and watchlists.
“Most of these classifications occur in the absence of any investigation or even any follow-up.”
In the case of the above-mentioned Air Marshal, his wife was only in DC, not at the Capitol during the rally.
The letter continued, "We have been hearing many similar stories from our FAM membership about being assigned to surveil people that TSA/FAMS labeled domestic terrorists, specifically due to being in D.C. on or about January 6th."
They also pointed out several instances that could possibly have been prevented had the Air Marshals been assigned to their usual tasks, such as a passenger holding a razor blade to another passenger’s throat on one flight.
We have all seen the viral videos of fights among passengers and with flight attendants breaking out all over the country, so we cannot help but imagine how many of these could have been controlled by Air Marshals were they not given other assignments.
Once again, this is Mayorkas and Biden putting the safety of Americans behind their political agenda.
