Rep. Massie: Biden "Wants To Ban Modern Firearms"

President Biden used Thanksgiving Day to criticize semiautomatic firearms, and Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky had some strong words to say about it.

Following Biden’s Thanksgiving Day criticism, Massie tweeted that Biden "wants to ban modern firearms."

"Biden moved beyond his usual 'assault weapons' ban rhetoric on Thanksgiving Day, actually speaking to sales of semiautomatic firearms in general, claiming they have 'no social redeeming value,'" reported Breitbart.

Biden Attacks Firearms On Thanksgiving Day

"Semiautomatic pistols are the firearm of choice when it comes to defensive carry," Breitbart reports. "They are the firearms police carry, the duty sidearms our military carries, and part of the very system of weapons the U.S. Secret Service uses to protect Biden."

Massie equated Biden’s criticism of semiautomatic weapons with criticism of "modern firearms."

"Americans rejected Pelosi’s gun control schemes in the mid terms, yet here is Biden saying he wants to ban modern firearms, and maligning most gun owners," Massie said in the tweet.

In May of 2022, Biden attacked 9mm semiautomatic pistols, saying a 9mm bullet will "blow the lung out of the body." That claim is false.

Do you think that President Biden is right when he says that semiautomatic firearms have "no social redeeming value"?
