Rep. Boebert's Ex-Husband Arrested

The drama surrounding Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) continues.

There were reports over the weekend that she may have assaulted her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert.

As it turns out, it was her husband that wound up being arrested.

Troubling Times

Boebert’s family is a hot mess right now, with recent reports of her husband allegedly assaulting one of their sons, this incident, Boebert being a bit too touchy-feely at a local theater, and her teenage son getting his girlfriend pregnant.

On top of all that, Boebert switched districts in the election because it appeared as though she would lose to a Democrat in the district where her seat currently resides.

Jayson Boebert was the one who initially called the police, and then hung up. Lauren Boebert called them back, only to have her ex-husband screaming in the background that she had punched him in the face.

When police arrived, Jayson was reportedly uncooperative and intoxicated, with no signs of having been hit by Lauren Boebert.

Local police closed the investigation into Lauren Boebert immediately, and Jayson had also recanted his claim that she hit him.

On Tuesday, Jayson was then arrested on charges of obstructing a peace officer, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.

After all the drama, Rep. Boebert released a statement:

"This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving.

"I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options."

This was not the first time he found himself in cuffs, either, with another report finding that Jayson Boebert was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief, with a bail of $2,500 being set.

Additional charges were added after the fact. They were "prohibited aiming of a firearm, obstructing a peace officer, trespassing, and disorderly conduct-offensive gesture.”

Perhaps Boebert should give up on Congress and concentrate on getting her family life back in order.
