Rep. Boebert’s Ex Arrested After Colorado Restaurant Incident

Earlier this week, it was reported that an alleged incident between Rep. Boebert (R-CO) and her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, took place at a local Colorado restaurant.

At first, there were reports that Lauren Boebert had been accused of punching her ex in public.

As it turns out, it was Jayson Boebert that ended up being arrested.

The Polarizing Couple

If you want my two cents on this, based on these recent reports, Rep. Boebert (R-CO) sounds like she needs to step away from office and get her life in order.

She has already decided to switch districts because it looked like she was going to lose the race in the district where she originally announced.

Now we have seen reports of this fight and of her husband allegedly going after one of their boys as well.

Jayson Boebert was previously arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief, with a bail of $2,500 being set.

Additional charges were added after the fact. They were "prohibited aiming of a firearm, obstructing a peace officer, trespassing, and disorderly conduct-offensive gesture.”

Regarding the restaurant incident with Lauren Boebert, Jayson had initially placed a 9-1-1 call, then hung up. Lauren Boebert called back, and Jayson could be heard in the background saying that she had punched him in his face.

When the police arrived, they characterized Jayson as being "highly intoxicated" and "uncooperative.”

He was eventually removed by police, but there is no surveillance footage of the incident available.

Silt Police Lt. Matt Gronbeck confirmed, "The investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert is closed.”

Rep. Boebert commented on the incident, stating, "This is a sad situation for all that keeps escalating and another reason I’m moving.

"I didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested. I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options."

This is one in a long string of public incidents that have plagued Rep. Boebert’s career in Congress.
