Border Patrol Boss Under Fire, Refusing to Resign

When Chris Magnus was nominated to head Border Patrol, we were all up in arms.

We were stunned when his nomination passed through the Senate.

Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) joined Democrats to pass him through, and now he is being told to resign or quit.

Magnus has reportedly told Secretary Mayorkas he has no plans to resign.

Get Out

Imagine how bad you have to be for Mayorkas to want to a fire a border official.

There were concerns about this clown from the outset.

Former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan gave a blistering review of Magnus after his confirmation…

After his resignation was requested, Magnus responded with a letter, which Fox News was able to obtain.

It stated, "I want to make this clear: I have no plans to resign as CBP Commissioner.

"I didn't take this job as a resume builder.

"I came to Washington, DC— moved my family here— because I care about this agency, its mission, and the goals of this Administration."

If he cared so much, perhaps he can explain why he was caught falling asleep during staff meetings, but I digress.

With 2.3 million encounters at the border for FY2022, someone has to be the fall guy to make it look like Biden is doing something, and Magnus will be that guy.

But I would still like to see someone from Fox News get up in Collins' grill to ask her to justify her vote for this man.
