PA Senate candidate John Fetterman has a commanding lead in polling right now.
Mehmet Oz wants to debate him to try to close that gap.
With nothing to gain and everything to lose, Fetterman is declining to debate Oz.
Running Scared
Fetterman has previously called debates an integral part of the election process, but that was before he had a big lead and a Senate seat so close he could taste it.
This was Fetterman only six months ago…
Like I’ve always said:
Debates are an important part of this primary. We believe voters deserve no fewer than three network televised debates - including all candidates who make the ballot - before major media markets across PA.

Fetterman, however, used his recent stroke to decline Oz's invitation to debate.
He stated, "I'm eager to put my record and my values up against Dr. Oz's any day of the week.
"As I recover from this stroke and improve my auditory processing and speech, I look forward to continuing to meet with the people of Pennsylvania."
Now, I don't know about you, but that almost sounds like an admission that he is not even fit for office.
This was Oz's response…
If Fetterman does win, I cannot help but wonder if he will wear a hoodie or a sports coat at the Capitol.
