I cannot help but go back to an interview that Barack Obama gave late in his term.
He was asked if possible, would he have liked to run for a third term?
Obama said something to the effect that if he could do it from his basement and did not have to be the face of the presidency, he would love to do it.
A new report from Tablet online magazine makes it sound as though that is exactly the case.

There is an introduction to the article that is written by David Samuels.
That is followed up by a lengthy piece by Obama biographer David Garrow. It is an explosive piece that covers some popular but debated topics on Obama, as well as some conspiracy theory topics.
I want to dial in on one particular comment that fingers Obama as the man behind the curtain that is pulling all the strings.
In 2015, Obama told Steven Colbert, “I used to say if I can make an arrangement where I had a stand-in or front man or front woman, and they had an earpiece in, and I was just in my basement in my sweats looking through the stuff, and I could sort of deliver the lines while someone was doing all the talking and ceremony.
“I’d be fine with that because I found the work fascinating.”
Samuels makes his case that Obama has actually managed to pull that off, mostly through a deep network of former staffers that Biden has brought aboard for the ride.
Now, you guys know I believe there are at least two or three different people who are actually doing this right now. I have always believed that Jill Biden was among them, and Obama would surely be in that mix, and probably the most influential.
Samuels writes, "In the absence of what was once American journalism, it is hard to know which portrait of Obama’s post-presidency is truer to life: Obama as a celebrity-obsessed would-be billionaire, or as a would-be American Castro, reshaping American society from his basement, in his sweats,” reported Breitbart.
If Obama was going to hide, he picked the perfect mark to carry out his plans without ever mentioning his name.
Perhaps this is why Democrats are playing everything so close the next these days.
