Public University in Georgia Bans DEI Admissions Policies

Now that Trump has been elected, we are seeing a major push against DEI policies that were instituted by the Biden administration.

As an example, the University System of Georgia (USG), which oversees 26 public higher-learning institutions, is shredding the DEI playbook.

Not only that, but it also announced that it would be adding documents from the Founding Fathers to the required curriculum.

Changes Are Coming

The Democrat party was all about requiring Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) ideology to permeate anything that the government had its hands in.

Donald Trump will be the complete opposite, and it is already starting.

DEI policies were started to permeate our education facilities, but Georgia has already started to reverse the process.

USG oversees schools such as the University of Georgia and Kennesaw State University, all of which are being told to toss DEI into the garbage can.

Proposals were recently passed called the “Equal Opportunity in Admissions.”

This will ban DEI in hiring and admissions, free expression training to new student orientation, and requires mandatory teaching of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, just to name a few.

The USG Board of Regents stated, that “Ideological tests, affirmations, and oaths, including diversity statements” are now banned.

Instead of meeting diversity goals, the USG has mandated that the requirements for employment are now “that the individual possesses the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities associated with the role, and is believed to have the ability to successfully perform the essential functions, responsibilities, and duties associated with the position for which the individual is being considered.

“No applicant for admission shall be asked to or required to affirmatively ascribe to or opine about political beliefs, affiliations, ideals, or principles, as a condition for admission.”

Imagine that… the most qualified person gets the job regardless of race, creed, color, sexual orientation, or political ideology.

The Board also declared that all schools will remain politically neutral, which I absolutely love.

The statement continued, “They allow institutions to foster a campus environment where people have the freedom to share their thoughts and learn from one another through objective scholarship and inquiry. They reflect an unyielding obligation to protect freedom, provide quality higher education, and promote student success.

“Colleges and universities not only equip students for the jobs of tomorrow, they also must prepare them to be contributing members of society and to understand the ideals of freedom and democracy that make America so exceptional.”

I would love to see this implemented across the board so kids are able to go to school without having an ideology rammed down their throats by their extremist teachers.

It looks like things are finally taking a step in the right direction.
