Protesters Try to Disrupt Rosalyn Carter Tribute Attended by Biden

The sheer number of pro-Palestinian protests that have erupted around the country is disturbing.

One would think they would have the decorum to leave the memorial of a former first lady alone, but that was not the case.

Protesters set up shop outside the memorial for Rosalyn Carter at the Glenn Memorial United Methodist Church in Atlanta, which had enough Secret Service in attendance to start a local police force.

Wrench in the System

One would think there would be a code, even among protesters, that certain events are off-limit, especially when you have such a public figure who has passed.

This being the wife of former President Jimmy Carter, who was in attendance, there was going to be some serious political clout at the service, which is surely why the protesters chose to disturb the event.

As speakers were paying tribute to Mrs. Carter, protesters were outside, screaming, "Biden, Biden, you can't hide. We charge you with genocide!"

There were also signs with the slogans, "End all U.S. aid to Israel" and "Ceasefire now! Stop Israel and Biden's genocide."

In addition to Joe Biden, whose motorcade drove right by the demonstration, former president Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former first lady Michelle Obama, Sens. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) and Raphael Warnock (D-GA), and Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens were also in attendance.

The memorial service was held on Tuesday, with her burial service being held on Wednesday in Plains, GA.

Plains has served as the home of the Carters for decades.

President Jimmy Carter, as noted above, was also in attendance. His health in clear deterioration, he had his daughter read a letter he wrote to Rosalynn many years ago:

“My darling, every time I have ever been away from you, I had been thrilled when I returned to discover just how wonderful you are.

“While I’m away I tried to convince myself that you really are not could not be as sweet and beautiful as I remember. But when I see you I fall in love with you all over again.

“Does that seem strange to you? It doesn’t to me. Goodbye darling. Until tomorrow, Jimmy”

Nothing else needs to be said. Rest in peace, Rosalynn.
