What issue could be the issue that removes Joe Biden from the White House?
He is underwater on the economy, immigration, domestic energy policy, and crime… but as bad as those numbers are, there is another number that will haunt him in this election.
That issue, of course, is Joe’s age.
Just Too Old
A mere 36 percent of Americans feel that Joe Biden is mentally up for another run at the White House, according to the latest Wall Street Journal poll.
And let’s face facts, Joe is not helping himself, caught taking a quick snooze during his trip to Maui when he was meeting survivors of the horrific wildfires that swept through the island.
Donald Trump is not doing much better, with only 46 percent saying that he was “mentally up for the job.” This gives Trump some wiggle room to attack Biden, but not much.
Only 40 percent of voters said that Biden has a strong record of accomplishments, compared to 51 percent for Trump.
It just proves that if Biden says it enough, some people will believe it, as the majority of the liberal horde hang onto his every word as though it is gospel.
As we noted above, on one of the most important issues, the economy, Biden continues to be underwater, with 58 percent saying the economy is worse under Biden than it was under Trump.
In terms of the election, Biden and Trump were just about dead even, getting 39 and 40 percent respectively.
This tells me we still have a lot of undecided voters on the sidelines, which is not surprising considering the two frontrunners.
You have an aging Biden who is a complete and utter failure, but the GOP has Trump, a man with a mountain of legal issues who is literally despised by half the people in this country who will never vote for him.
Now, while I think it will be a challenge for Trump to win, the recent announcement by Cornel West as a third-party candidate significantly changes things, helping Trump by about three points in the election poll.
We know energy will be low on the right, but it will probably be far less on the left, which is a death sentence for Biden. If he cannot get voters excited to go to the polls, a better-than-average turnout for the GOP will secure the White House.
All I know is that I will be white-knuckling it for the next 14 months until we get this decided.
