Joe Biden always vowed to have an independent Justice Department, and that he would not influence it at all.
Of course, after seeing what happened with Hunter Biden, we know that is not the truth.
A recent poll by McLaughlin & Associates showed that Americans believe it did not stop there, and that Biden influenced the indictments against Donald Trump.
Joe Did It
Among other questions, the poll asked, “And how much of a role would you say President Joe Biden has played in the indictments of former President Donald Trump?”
Sixty percent of respondents believed that Joe Biden did play a part, with only 29 percent thinking that Joe Biden had nothing at all to do with it. There were still 11 percent unsure either way.
Among those who think Biden played a role, more than half believe that Biden played a “major” role in having Trump indicted, and I will take stab that most of those are Republicans.
When you look at the breakdown, Biden was underwater on independents on this, which is not good because Biden has lost significant ground in polling among independent voters, the group that will ultimately decide the presidential election.
Donald Trump has pushed this narrative as much as possible, recently stating, “What they’re doing is election interference. They’re trying to interfere with an election. There’s never been anything like it in our country before. This is their way of campaigning,” reported Breitbart.
Now, anti-Trumpers will say that Trump only ran thinking that the indictments would not be filed because he was running for office.
Regardless of what side of this argument you are on, you cannot possibly think it is a coincidence that all these investigations were wrapped up within weeks of each other just in time to be scheduled for the entire primary season.
I have admittedly been tough on Trump for going after DeSantis instead of Biden, but I have always stated that I think the majority of the charges are garbage and I firmly believe these trials were coordinated to impact him during the election schedule.
My thinking is just a bit different though… I think Dems want Trump to win the primary, then have him lose a case where they can apply the 14th Amendment, which would leave the GOP without a candidate only months before the general election.
