Politico Mocked After Ties from George Soros to Protests Revealed
Politico just published a massive report on the funding behind the anti-Israel protests that are taking place across the country on college campuses.
The publication appeared shocked that organizations tied to the likes of George Soros and Bill Gates were responsible for picking up the tab.
Conservatives could not help but take some shots at the publication for a fact we have been discussing dating back to the George Floyd rioting.
The Money Men
Jewish Voice for Peace and IfNotNow are arguably the largest organizations behind the protests.
Both of these groups get their funding via leftist organizations that are bankrolled by George Soros’ Open Society network and the Gates Foundation.
For instance, the Tides Foundation, which allegedly has financial ties to both parties, sent $500,000 to Jewish Voice for Peace.
This is the same organization that blamed the start of the war on Israel, not Hamas.
The Gates Foundation has pushed back on the report already, insisting that it has no grant money going to the Tides Foundation, nor had it given grants to Jewish Voice for Peace or IfNotNow.
The Politico report, "Pro-Palestinian protesters are backed by a surprising source: Biden's biggest donors," was laughed at by conservative personalities.
For instance, Chaya Raichik, Libs of TikTok creator, stated, "This is actually the least ‘surprising’ thing I have heard all year.”
Washington Free Beacon reporter Joe Gabriel Simonson responded, “Glad you guys could make it to the party.”
Matt Whitlock added, "This is only ‘surprising’ if you’re brand new to following Democrat money in politics.”
Joe Biden has been backed into a corner over these protests, so his donors are actually hurting him by backing these protests.
Biden does not want to outright decry the protests because of our ties to Israel, but at the same time, he risks losing Jewish liberal voters in the process.
Biden very much wants this war to be over as quickly as possible, but he may have received the worst news he could have on this front.
While Israel has stated it would be willing to do a longer cease-fire if all the hostages are returned, it will not end the war until Hamas is gone.
If that cease-fire takes place, this war will not be over before election day, and that will cost Biden significantly at the ballot box.
