This could perhaps be the biggest political story in America in literally years.
Donald Trump announced on March 18 that he expects to be arrested on March 21.
The news has sent the entire country into a frenzy, as not even the most cynical of Trump haters could have ever expected that our former president would actually be arrested by these New York liberal pipsqueaks.
But that's EXACTLY what Donald Trump is predicting will happen soon.
Or could it perhaps be what Donald is HOPING for? Donald has been telling his team to get his fan base fired up for quite some time, and an unethical arrest might be exactly what Trump needs to get every common sense American to unite behind him, regardless of political affiliation.
Republican Elise Stefanik from New York seems to be sure that such an arrest would actually boost Trump's popularity in America. That's how many people are simply sick of our corrupt liberal government.
"What these corrupt Leftist prosecutors like Alvin Bragg and their Socialist allies fail to understand is that America First Patriots have never been so energized to exercise their constitutional rights to peacefully organize and VOTE at the ballot box to save our great republic," Stefanik said. "This is unAmerican and the radical Left has reached a dangerous new low of Third World countries. Knowing they cannot beat President Trump at the ballot box, the Radical Left will now follow the lead of Socialist dictators and reportedly arrest President Trump, the leading Republican candidate for President of the United States."
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy immediately announced that Congress would be prepared to take action quickly if any attempts are being made to sabotage Trump.
"Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump," McCarthy said. "I’m directing relevant committees to immediately investigate if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions."
