Promising Young Lacrosse and Hockey Player Dead at 18

Here we go again… another young, promising athlete is gone.

Tyson Downs had a promising career ahead of him in two sports, hockey, and lacrosse.

That will never be realized, however, as the young sports star has passed away (no cause of death was given), reported The Sun Times.

What is Going On?

This subject has become a bit of an obsession for me simply because we never saw this rash of deaths and health problems in young athletes before the pandemic (you know what I am really thinking here).

It was only yesterday that we reported Bronny James, the son of NBA star LeBron James and high school star athlete, had a heart attack.

I have lost count of the number of under 25 athletes that have died already this year, but we are going to keep on reporting them for one reason… we need to raise awareness of this trend and get some answers as to why it is happening.

Tyson played for the Owen Sound North Stars Lacrosse team as well as the KW Siskins hockey team.

The Siskins posted, “It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye for now to Tyson Downs.”

The post continued, “His passion for the game was infectious, and his dedication to the team was unparalleled. His passing leaves a void that will never be filled. Rest in peace, Tyson. You will be missed but never forgotten,” reported the Daily Caller.

The North Stars posted, “It is with terrible sadness and heartache that we pass along that one of our own, Tyson Downs, passed away over the weekend.

“Tyson was a massive part of our team on and off the floor, and he will be deeply missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family teammate and the Owen Sound Community.”

It is not just that young people are dying, but we are talking about youngsters that are in peak shape.

We are losing elite, young athletes… and nobody seems to find this curious at all.
