Perry Johnson Endorses Donald Trump For President

Former President Donald Trump just got another big win.

This time, it's an endorsement from somebody who was considered one of his rivals just a short time ago:

Michigan businessman Perry Johnson.

Johnson had been seeking the Republican nomination for the presidential race but was often polling around 0% on a national level.

While he probably got more support than I ever could, it was never going to be enough to be the people at the top of the Republican Party.

Despite trailing far behind Trump, folks like Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Tim Scott, and Chris Christie have so much experience in politics and so many friends in the Republican Party that it was always going to be almost impossible to make headway against these people in the club, and Johnson knew it.

The man from Michigan said that "corruption among leaders at the RNC" was one of the things he was running to defeat, but ultimately ended up being the reason he had to pull out of the race.

Johnson didn't meet the criteria to appear onstage at either of the first two Republican debates, and it didn't appear as though he was any closer to getting on the stage at the third event in Miami in November.

In his statement, Johnson said that his supporters who are looking for a new number one should look at Trump.

"During President Trump's first term, our nation saw historic peace agreements, no new wars, an economic revival, and forged a new path forward away from corrupt, establishment career politicians," Johnson said. "I supported President Trump in 2016 and 2020, and am proud to offer him my full endorsement once again as he seeks the Republican nomination for President in 2024."
