Pelosi Says Trump Suffering from ‘Cognitive Disorders,’ But…

Of all people, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took on the subject of Donald Trump’s cognitive health.

Pelosi, who is now 83, claimed that Donald Trump is suffering from “cognitive disorders.”

Yet, she avoids discussing this about Joe Biden and has made more than her fair of slipups in recent years on this front.

Pot, Meet Kettle

Every slip that Donald Trump makes right now is being evaluated by Democrats and the mainstream media the same way we are looking at Joe Biden on the cognitive front.

This means even if Trump confuses a name, there is going to be something made of it, such was the case when Trump confused Haley and Pelosi.

During a recent rally, Trump had stated, "You know, by the way, they never report the crowd on January 6, you know, Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley, Nikki Haley, you know, they — did you know they destroyed all the information and all of the evidence. Everything. Deleted and destroyed all of it, all of it, because of lots of things, like Nikki Haley is in charge of security.

“We offered 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guard. So whatever they want, they turned it down. They don't want to talk about that. These are very dishonest people.”

After Trump bungled that comment, clearly inserting Haley where Pelosi should have been, Rachel Maddow asked Pelosi, "We’ve heard what Nikki Haley thought about that, that confusion, that mistake by Donald Trump. But I don’t know what you thought about it, and I’m curious.”

Pelosi responded, "Well, let me just say, I’m not going to spend too much time on Donald Trump’s cognitive disorders.

"He tried to say that Nikki Haley did not allow the National Guard to come, but it was Nancy Pelosi. It was nobody. It was Joe — it was Donald Trump. He knows, and you know, that Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, and I begged for hours for the National Guard to come."

Some people found it rather amusing that while discussing cognitive issues, Pelosi almost inserted Joe Biden’s name in for Donald Trump, but she caught herself before finishing off Biden’s name.

Pelosi continued, "He knows that we don’t have the authority to bring the national guard, the president does. Sad to say to the District of Columbia, because every other state, the governor has that power.

“So, I’m more concerned about what he was trying to accuse her of, and again, his many misrepresentations. But don’t spend so much time on him. We don’t agonize about him.”

Democrats will try to use this against Trump, but it is only going to backfire, bringing Joe Biden’s gaffes more into focus.

So, if Dems want to play this game, let’s do it, because Joe Biden lives in the proverbial glass house when it comes to cognitive health.
