Paul Pelosi Attacker Says Paul Was Not Intended Target

As most of you know, the trial for David DePape, the man who attacked Paul Pelosi, has started.

Paul Pelosi already took the stand, describing for the first time since the attack exactly what had happened.

On Tuesday, DePape took the stand in his defense, telling the court that Paul was never the intended target.

Was Meant for Nancy

DePape, according to his attorneys, broke into the Pelosi home for the purpose of addressing political corruption.

He was also concerned with attacks against children by celebrities and politicians.

When DePape took the stand, he informed the court that he went to the Pelosi house to talk to the former Speaker about Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election.

DePape also stated that he had originally planned on wearing a unicorn costume while interrogating Pelosi to get her to admit to her corruption, as well as other people he had targeted.

Instead, Nancy was on the road and only Paul Pelosi was home when he broke in.

He stated, "He was never my target, and I'm sorry that he got hurt.”

When police arrived, DePape and Pelosi were struggling over the hammer, a struggle that DePape won, then used the hammer to beat Paul Pelosi over the head.

DePape blamed his beliefs on various websites, stating that the information he was reading moved him from being a liberal to “right of center.”

He added, “At that time, I was biased against [former President Donald] Trump, but there’s, like, truth there. So, if there’s truth out there that I don’t know, I want to know it.”

Breaking into the Pelosi home was part of his quest for the truth.

DePape has been charged with attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault upon an immediate family member of a federal official, as well as several state felony counts, of which no trial date has been set at this time.

DePape pleaded not guilty to all charges.
