Overwhelming Majority of Republicans Believe Garland Should Be Imprisoned

Republicans have been upset with Merrick Garland since he was named Biden’s Attorney General.

He has done little to endear himself to the right since.

However, since the Hunter Biden case has shown that his Justice Department has been hiding information while at the same time going after Donald Trump, the overwhelming majority of Republicans believe Garland is the one who should be behind bars, according to the most recent Rasmussen Reports.

Send Him to Jail

I don’t think a single conservative would challenge the idea that Merrick Garland and Joe Biden have weaponized the DOJ.

This first became clear when Hunter Biden’s initial plea deal was announced.

It was a disgrace that prosecutors were even considering such a deal. Now that Hunter has been convicted, prosecutors have already hinted that they will ask for leniency.

The real issue, however, is why Hunter was not prosecuted for human trafficking for having paid escorts to travel across state lines and possibly even to other countries.

Republicans made quite a big deal about this last week and are already talking about an investigation into the evidence the DOJ uncovered but failed to indict.

That leads us to the recent Rasmussen Reports survey that found 62% of Republicans want Garland prosecuted and jailed.

His overall numbers were up there as well, as 47% overall believe that he is guilty of contempt of Congress for refusing to turn over the tapes of Biden’s special counsel interview.

An additional 22% are not sure, so they are at least open to hearing about the case and forming a better opinion.

I hope Trump will bring up some of this at the debate because this is the exact type of thing he needs to do to get Biden off his mark and flip the momentum right now.
