This was supposed to be a routine domestic dispute call, which are generally not very routine.
Sgt. Morgan Reynolds was among two officers that responded to the call, arriving first on the scene.
The calm lasted about 15 seconds before the suspect got the drop on her, then beat her unconscious, then continued to beat on her while her body lie motionless on the floor.
Disturbing Account
Police were called to the home of Perrishea Smith, who was hanging with friends, which included a young man named DeAngelo Wright. Smith stated that she had run-ins with Wright before, choking her one time for 10-15 seconds before he let her up.
Smith said Wright was getting aggressive, so they called the cops to have him removed, reports KFOR.
When Reynolds arrived, she wanted to pat Wright down to make sure he did not have any weapons on him.
In the video, it sounds like she was about to place him under arrest, when he just turns and punches her in the face.
Sgt. Reynolds fell to the ground, and Wright appears to continue to punch and kick her until she is unconscious.
Court documents stated that Wright allegedly “punched her 3-5 times in the face. Ofc. Reynolds was standing and attempted to defend herself but was knocked unconscious and fell to the floor on her back.
DeAngelo mounted on top Officer Reynolds and continued to punch her in the face while she was defenseless and unconscious.”
Smith stated, “I thought she was dead in my apartment. She was unconscious for like 5 minutes. Her eyes were bleeding.”
This is the video that was released…
According to the court filing, “Officer Reynolds was treated at OU medical center and suffered a possible skull fracture, orbital fracture, concussion, fractured jaw, and several broken teeth.”
Keep in mind, these are the types of call that Democrats want case workers to answer rather than police.
