Obama's FAA barred best air traffic controllers from jobs: Report

With the uptick in airplane accidents in recent months, Americans everywhere are concerned about the safety of flying.

From the collision that killed 67 near Washington, D.C. to the plane crash in Alaska that left 10 dead, it is not a wonder that there are such concerns. However, why are there so many accidents involving airplanes occurring lately?

According to some reports, former President Barack Obama could be to blame.

A job questionnaire for those looking to become air traffic controllers created and used by Barack Obama's FAA has now come into question.

That questionnaire was introduced by Obama’s administration and was secretly designed to help diversity, equity, and inclusion numbers.

Apparently, it took literally no aviation knowledge to pass.

“Top marks” were awarded to candidates who “need a great deal of time to complete assignments” and “take chances very often.”

The Daily Mail reported that “playing three or more sports in high school” was rated more valuable than “having a stint as an air traffic controller in the military.”

In fact, the Mail also reported that the 2014 entry test was actually extremely hard to pass for those who were elite, mostly white college graduates.

However, “race reformers” noted that it allowed many “off the street” candidates, mainly minorities, to gain entry to high-stakes positions responsible for keeping millions of Americans safe every single day.

“It's absolute madness to think that you want to hire someone who takes a lot of chances to be an air traffic controller,” one aviation expert said.

Reports have also indicated that countless qualified applicants have failed or have been denied positions.

Could Obama have been so focused on meeting DEI numbers that he put the safety of Americans everywhere at risk?

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration have launched investigations into all the recent crashes to determine the exact cause responsible.

However, it will take more than 12 months before that full report will be complete.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy has said he believes the public is justified in saying crashes like those happening recently are completely unacceptable.

“I feel really good about where we're at and where we're going and the plans we have in place to make sure we even make the system safer and more efficient than it is today,” said Duffy.
