Joe Biden has managed to screw up a layup in Maui.
Even after going to the island late, he could have won the day by being truly empathetic, but Joe could not even do that.
He took a horrible natural disaster and made it about his little kitchen fire. BUT, that did not stop an Obama hack from defending Joe's comments, reported Fox News.
Former Barack Obama campaign manager Jim Messina is a Democrat hack, plain and simple.
Before I get into the Biden defense, please watch the early part of the video when he is asked about Kamala Harris' failures on immigration, and he immediately swings the conversation to what she is doing on the manufacturing front.
As far as defending Joe goes, well, it was even worse.
Bill Hemmer asked Messina about Biden's failure to connect with people, using his kitchen fire story, comparing it to the horrific fires that took everything away from residents in Maui, trying to make it as though Biden can relate to people.
Biden clearly missed the mark here, stating, "I don't want to compare difficulties, but we have a little sense, Jill and I, of what it was like to lose a home."
They have no sense. The fire was contained to the kitchen and the local fire chief stated that the fire was under control in about 20 minutes.
Biden continued, "Years ago, now, 15 years, I was in Washington doing 'Meet the press'… Lightning struck at home on a little lake outside the home, not a lake a big pond. It hit the wire and came up underneath our home, into the…air condition ducts.
"To make a long story short, I almost lost my wife, my 67 Corvette, and my cat."
It never even came close to that, but that is not the worst part.
How do you possibly equate that story to losing everything you have, as well as family members, including children? The man is a complete and utter moron.
Here is the exchange…
There is no sane person on the planet that believes that Joe Biden nailed that, not one, other than these Democrat hacks that will defend anything that Biden does.
If you watched the full video, you heard Hemmer set him straight, stating, "Jim, this was — with all due respect, it was a kitchen fire that was put out within 20 minutes, and he's standing there in absolute devastation where the people around him, if they are alive, they have lost everything."
Honestly, I have no idea how these people even say these things with a straight face.
