Obama Official Worried Trump’s Plan to Lure in Younger Voters is Working
From the outset of this campaign, it became pretty clear that Donald Trump had a meaningful chat with his son, Barron, about the election.
Trump wanted to know how he could lure in younger voters, and Barron supplied Trump with a list of podcasts and personalities he should consider sitting down with to attract the younger demographic.
The plan has been very successful, something that appears to have former White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer a little worried.
He’s Nailing It
Pfeiffer was on CNN this week to discuss the election with Jake Tapper.
Part of that conversation was the fact that Trump is gaining significant support among younger voters, specifically Gen Z men.
Pfieffer was also very concerned that Harris is just missing the mark here, as her campaign has completely missed on this demographic, repulsing them instead of drawing them in.
He stated, “The context of that conversation was about the need for Democrats to reach out to Gen Z men in particular and using the platforms in which these men consume news, which is not CNN is not necessarily positive America for some of them.
“And right around the time I did this, I had that conversation, she did that interview with All the Smoke, a podcast hosted by two former NBA players that targets that exact group, particularly young black men.”
He continued, “I think we have to be doing more to reach out to Gen Z men, both for this election and over the long term because this is what Trump is doing every day. He may be canceling his events, he may be canceling CNBC and NBC and all the other things.
“What he is doing is every day sitting down and doing a podcast with some podcaster whose audience is largely young men. And that’s where he has made gains in selection and we have to push back on that.”
All Harris has done is insult these men by having Barack Obama black-shame them, call them sexists and misogynists, as well as suggesting the only way they can get ahead is to get freebies from the government.
The latest ad, taken out by a PAC supporting Harris, went to the next level, suggesting that the only way men could get a woman is by voting for Harris.
Harris is playing catchup, and it is about to get much worse, as Trump is scheduled to appear on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Friday.
Rogan has more than 14 million followers on Spotify and more than 16 million on YouTube, where he airs the podcast's video.
I am thinking that this interview will be one of his most successful shows, which would likely force Harris to try to get on the show as well, but I don’t see her drawing the numbers that Trump will.
