New York Times opinion columnist Ross Douthat has finally started to see the light.
Douthat just wrote a column that finally addresses some of the problems with the Biden campaign.
Most notably, something that has been taboo in the mainstream media… Joe's mental decline due to his age, albeit very delicately, reported Fox News.
Polling Tells the Story
Biden's age and behavior are very much a part of the conversation right now.
Recent polling on this subject has been devasting for Joe Biden, as he is completely underwater on the perception of voters regarding his age and mental acuity.
Douthat very gingerly touched on the subject, writing, "I do not think Biden's decline is overstated by the media; by some Republicans, maybe, but the mainstream press is, if anything, treading gingerly around the evident reality.
"But I do think Biden's defenders are correct that the effect of his age on his presidency has been, at most, only mildly negative."
Douthat also addresses the possibility of another health crisis hurting Biden. We have seen talks of more boosters, rising positive cases, and new mandates started to pop up, and the people of this country and not going to stand for another shutdown.
The answer to this by most of the mainstream media had been to say that Donald Trump is 77, so how can you complain about Joe when Trump is only three years his junior?
The White House also has its army of social media influencers working overtime to promote Biden as a badass and trying to drum up excitement about the 2024 Biden campaign, but it's not working.
As they brag about Biden, there is far more ridicule than support on the posts.
Other outlets are panicking, such as the Washington Post, which has stated that there are better options than Joe for president in this election, but as bad as Biden is polling, he is outpolling most of those alternatives.
Like it or not, Joe is their horse.
