North Carolina Supreme Court orders RFK Jr. Removed from the Ballot
For years now, I have been saying how partisan our courts have become.
For the most part, I can look at who nominated the judge or what party the judge(s) belong to and predict the outcome of the case.
If you want proof, just look at the cases in court now over Kennedy’s name being removed from the presidential ballot.
Partisan Courts
We are going to take a look at two Kennedy cases regarding ballot removal to prove this point.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that the Michigan Supreme Court ruled that Kennedy’s name would remain on the ballot even though he withdrew from the race right around the same time that Biden dropped out and was replaced by Harris.
Point being, if they could make that change, then they could remove Kennedy.
Michigan’s Supreme Court has a majority of Democrat justices, so when the court made its ruling, it was pretty predictable.
The same case was litigated in North Carolina, now having gone before its Supreme Court.
North Carolina’s Supreme Court is dominated by Republicans, and low and behold, the court ruled that Kennedy’s name should be removed from the ballot.
To me, if you want a “free and fair” election, as Democrats always say they do, someone who dropped out of the race nearly three months before election day should be removed from the ballot so as not to confuse voters.
This is a major ruling, yet every court so far that has ruled in this case has done so along ideological lines.
The majority in this case stated, “We acknowledge that expediting the process of printing new ballots will require considerable time and effort by our election officials and significant expense to the State.
“But that is a price the North Carolina Constitution expects us to incur to protect voters’ fundamental right to vote their conscience and have that vote count.”
As much money as the government wastes, a few bucks for new ballots is really no big deal.
The funny thing about all this is that while Democrats want Kennedy to remain on even though he has dropped out of the race, they are doing everything they can to remove Jill Stien and Cornel West, two third-party candidates who are running, from the ballot.
I like to refer to this as legal election rigging because that is precisely what it is.
