Nikki Haley Makes Another Campaign Misstep
One of the hottest topics of the last two years has been transition surgery for children and what rights parents have on this front.
Two of the issues here are whether the surgeries should be blocked outright for minors and if parents have the right to block such surgeries when their child says this is their intent.
Nikki Haley has once again used a very controversial topic to get some headlines, but will it cost her with conservatives?
Stay Out of It
The biggest issue here is that we have schools circumventing parents on the issue.
If you look at social media as the measuring stick, most conservatives would like laws blocking surgeries for minors.
Nikki Haley, however, wants the law and government to stay out of it.
This was Haley’s response during a recent CBS interview…
Nikki Haley was just asked on CBS what should be done if a 12 year old decides they want a sex change and she said the law should stay out of it to let parents handle it. This is 1000% disqualifying. The law must intervene when a parent abuses their child. pic.twitter.com/Pn9qL7PnOA

If you click on that X post and go to the post, you will see the pushback from conservatives on this, and it was significant.
I would say that this would hurt Haley, but I was wrong the first time about her campaign being over when she suggested doxxing all social media users.
I honestly thought that would end her, but she has since picked up Wall Street donors who are flooding her campaign and PACs with cash, something she actually bragged about during the last debate.
She has surpassed DeSantis in some early-voting states, putting his campaign on life support at this point.
Haley has clearly shown she is part of the establishment as well as all but admitting that her donors are going to call the shots if she were elected.
There was a time when I was very high on Haley, and I took heat from you guys about it, but I am man enough to admit I was wrong about her.
She has really shown her true colors over the last few weeks, and it is clear that if we want this country to move forward, she cannot be a part of the government.
It really is a shame because I thought Haley would have been a great VP for either Trump or DeSantis, but she has lost me completely with her recent statements and nod to Wall Street donors.
