Nikki Haley Dismissed Chris Christie Endorsement

With only one legitimate candidate left other than the leader in the GOP race, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has finally issued an endorsement for the race.

After having previously shredded Haley in the media, Christie endorsed the former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador, Nikki Haley.

Haley, however, was quick to dismiss the endorsement, saying she did not “need” his endorsement for this race.

No Thanks

The fact that Christie endorsed Haley after everything he said about her just proves, once again, that this is more political theater than actual politics.

Had I said the things about Haley that Christie had stated, and knowing he would not endorse Trump, I would merely say there is not a candidate in this race I can support.

Instead, Christie, who said that Haley would get “smoked” by Trump, has decided to throw what little support he had in this election behind Haley.

Haley responded to the endorsement, “At the end of the day, you don’t want all of those politicians’ endorsements. That’s part of the problem. You want people who actually move the ball.”

She then added, “I don’t need” Christie’s endorsement.

“Donors have complimented me and have seen I am very frugal with how I spend, because that’s how I spend tax dollars, my dollars and campaign dollars.”

This is arguably one of the most frustrating things for me about politics, especially when it is against same party members.

If the attacks by Trump against DeSantis were legitimate, I would say more power to him for finding it out.

Yet, the narrative always seems to flip when a candidate drops out and throws their support behind someone.

That is what happened with Trump, when he called Ramaswamy a “fraud” and “not MAGA,” but after Ramaswamy dropped out and endorsed Trump, Trump has been gushing about him ever since.

There is just something about that political dais that makes people lie… showing how little respect they actually have for the people they are supposed to be representing.

I find the fact they are willing to ruin the careers and reputations of fellow Republicans with blatant lies solely to win a nomination utterly despicable.
