Nikki Haley Dialing Back Expectations As Super Tuesday Approaches

GOP candidate and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley has officially WITHDRAWN her statement.

Previously, Haley had been adamant about one thing -- she was going to be the 2024 Republican Nominee for president.

Now, it seems Haley has finally accepted her fate.

In a recent statement regarding the GOP primary election in South Carolina, Haley said she and her campaign were “looking at it as we’re hoping for a good, competitive showing.”

This a bolder statement then some may realize considering the fact that Haley is a former governor of the Palmetto State and beloved among many of the residents in the state.

If Haley did not truly believe she would emerge victorious from South Carolina, it is very easy to make the assumption that she does not believe she will be able to beat former President Donald Trump as the Super Tuesday contests rapidly approach.

Trump campaign official Susie Wiles, has commented on the former president's undeniable strength this time around.

“He’s now more knowledgeable about what it takes to be president after his first term. He’s more knowledgeable about how to interact with the media. His personnel instincts are, I think, better honed. The new skills are inside the package of the same Donald Trump, and I think that’s what’s making the difference this time,” said Wiles, as reported by NBC News.

However, even with the new knowledge Trump has acquired, no one expected Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' decision to drop out of the race would fuel Haley’s fight to the degree it has.

Some were surprised when the results from the New Hampshire Republican primary election were MUCH closer than many had expected.

Haley lost to Trump 43.2% to 54.3%.

DeSantis dropping out definitely gave Haley the momentum she needed to make it a true race!

However, it seems Haley lowered her expectations dramatically going into South Carolina and may continue to do so as the campaign season progresses.

What do you think will happen in upcoming primaries?
