New York Times Calls it Quits on Joe Biden after Debate Disaster

President Joe Biden's debate performance on Thursday against former President Donald Trump could not have gone worse, and the fallout is still rolling around the nation.

Whereas Trump was sharp and energetic and ready to debate, Biden appeared every bit his age with low-energy sentences and bizarre incoherence that led to extremely embarrassing clips that quickly went viral, as Fox News reports.

By every metric, the debate was Democrats' worst nightmare and vindication for Republicans who have long said Biden is not fit to be the leader of the free world.

Biden humiliated himself in front of the nation, while Trump looked as sharp as ever, and the contrast between the two is even starker than it was four years ago.

Now Democrats are in full panic mode and some major players are quitting on Biden. The New York Times is one media organization that wasn't afraid to come out and demand that Biden step aside to avoid a Republican victory in November.

No Confidence

In an article on Friday morning, the NYT argued that "President Biden has repeatedly and rightfully described the stakes in this November’s presidential election as nothing less than the future of American democracy."

Every election has massive stakes, but Democrats are particularly worried going into November because of Trump's promises to make systemic change, i.e. drain the swamp and purge the faceless power players that wield real power while not being accountable to the people.

Trump's first term was bogged down by those nameless individuals spread throughout the federal government and he wants to reform everything and start fresh after decades of government overgrowth and decay.

He stands a good chance of making good on those promises. and his three Supreme Court appointments have already been hard at work accomplishing that mission with key decisions in recent days.

Should Trump get another four years, and a shot at appointing more justices, it could be a death blow to the deep state and their enablers in both the GOP and the Democrat Party.

The NYT editorial board continued by saying, "Mr. Biden has said that he is the candidate with the best chance of taking on this threat of tyranny and defeating it. His argument rests largely on the fact that he beat Mr. Trump in 2020. That is no longer a sufficient rationale for why Mr. Biden should be the Democratic nominee this year."

2020 No Longer Relevant

Biden's performance has wiped away any argument that his victory against Trump in 2020 means anything. In fact, his disastrous appearance has many Americans once again suspicious of how he got the most votes in American history.

The NYT editorial board has no confidence in Biden, and other major entities in the Democrat Party are following suit as panic continues to spread.

One notable figure who has insisted on standing beside Biden is former President Barack Obama, under whose administration Biden served as vice president. Obama called on Democrats to not abandon Biden, but it remains to be seen whether that stance will endure.

There is still another debate ahead, and Democrats have to be worried sick about what will happen when it occurs. Trump has been effectively unleashed, and it seems unlikely that Democrats will be able to cage him again.
