New Trump assassination attempt details revealed

New details have been revealed regarding how the shooter carried out his assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

The new details, according to Fox News, come from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Director Christopher Wray.

This week, Wray appeared before the U.S. House of Representatives to provide testimony about the FBI's ongoing investigation into the assassination attempt that was carried out on Trump by the 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

It was in this testimony that Wray provided the new details.

The latest

For one thing, despite previous reports, Wray claimed that the FBI does not believe that Crooks used a ladder to gain access to the building's roof.

Fox reports:

Despite the fact that a "bloodied receipt" found on Crooks' dead body included a 5-foot ladder purchase, Wray told the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, his agency believes that "the subject climbed onto the roof using some mechanical equipment, on the ground and vertical piping on the side of the AGR building" on July 13.

In fact, Wray claimed that the FBI did not find a ladder that was brought to the scene by Crooks.

Wray also made a couple of other claims about the Trump assassination attempt.

He confirmed previous reports that the shooter flew a drone over the area where the Trump rally was held. He confirmed that the shooter did have explosives in his car. And, he revealed that the shooter had researched the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

Wray on Biden's alleged cognitive decline

Suffice it to say that Wray's testimony before the House left a lot to be desired, although he did do slightly better than former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle.

Wray also provided additional testimony regarding the alleged coverup of President Joe Biden's mental condition.

When asked by U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) "when did you notice [Biden's cognitive] decline," Wray replied, "In my interactions, in my role, all my interactions with the current president have been completely professional."

After being pressed further on the subject, Wray insisted that he did not observe a cognitive decline in Biden during his interactions with him. Wray, instead, described described the interactions as "uneventful and unremarkable."

This testimony has prompted Trump to say this:

Despite the fact that Special Counsel Robert Hur said, effectively, that Joe Biden is INCOMPETENT, with LITTLE MEMORY, etc., Wray said that "it is not something I observed during my interactions with him, which were uneventful and unremarkable," essentially stating that he found nothing wrong, mentally or physically, with "Joe." If that is the case, Director Wray should resign immediately from the FBI.
