New Hampshire Republican voters have apparently made up their mind about whom they wish to elect in 2024.
It isn't even close.
It's Donald Trump.
An absolutely stunning poll in New Hampshire recently revealed that if Ron DeSantis was once in the same ballpark as Trump, he isn't anymore.
Fans of DeSantis will be horrified to learn that the gap between DeSantis and first-place Trump is a whopping 37 points. DeSantis' lead over the current third-place candidate in New Hampshire, Chris Christie, currently sits at just a single percentage point.
Fourth place went to South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott with around 7%.
Experts are speculating that most of Scott's fans right now were probably once fans of Ron DeSantis. The Florida governor is clearly losing support, and his former supporters have to go somewhere.
Scott appears to be reaping the majority of those benefits as of right now. He also has a lot going for him in head-to-head matchups against the Democrats, where he polls nearly as well as Trump does.
"Our polling data shows that Tim Scott, although not as well-known as Trump, receives almost the same percentage of votes in a head-to-head matchup with Biden," said pollster Dustin Olson. He added:
What’s different is that support for Biden drops in a head-to-head matchup with Scott.
The big winners in the most recent poll out of New Hampshire are Trump, Christie, and Scott.
Some of the losers in this poll would be DeSantis, Mike Pence, and Nikki Haley. None of those candidates are enjoying much support in New Hampshire right now, polling way lower than they would like.
