Nevada Election Officials Find Nearly 200 Double Vote Attempts

Once again, we have a problem in the election that should never have happened.

Nevada officials announced this week that there were nearly 200 cases where an individual tried to cast a vote twice.

To be clear, these votes were not cast twice, but they were only attempted votes.

Double Time

According to local officials, this is more than likely just some people who were confused, possibly having sent in a ballot and forgotten about it or having voted in one state and then moved to another state.

I can completely understand an elderly person having filed a mail-in ballot and forgotten about it, but the rest of the examples they are giving are pretty far-fetched to me.

Regardless, the double votes were blocked because Nevada gives voters a unique identifier, so they are only permitted to vote once.

In the overall scheme of things, this is no big deal, but I continue to maintain that we need to eliminate all of these issues as there is simply no excuse for any problems or fraud with all the technology we have available to use today.

Nevada Democratic Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar explained, “Election security is a top priority for my office, and we’ve taken significant steps to ensure that Nevada’s elections are some of the safest in the country.

“The Secretary of State’s Office invested in enhanced cybersecurity, technology and investigative teams to ensure that our elections are protected and any issues that may come up can be addressed immediately.

“The 2024 election cycle was more secure than ever, and voters should be confident in the electoral process and their vote.”

Overall, security in this election appears to have been notably improved from the last presidential election, but as I stated above, we need to outright eliminate fraud.

I don’t know about you, but I am so sick and tired of the phrase, “not enough widespread fraud to impact the election.”

Zero… that is how much fraud I want to see in our elections, especially local elections, where just a few votes can swing a seat.
