Neo-Nazi Kills 15 in Russian School Mass Shooting

A mass shooting took place in Russia on Monday to “celebrate” the Columbine shooting.

Artem Kazantsev, 34, opened fire in the school, killing 15 people and wounding at least 24 others.

Among the dead were 11 children.

Cowardly Shooting

The shooter was reportedly once a student at School No. 88 where the shooting took place.

He was dressed all in black, with a swastika drawn in red.

As noted above, 15 people were killed, 11 children, with at latest another 24 wounded, all but two of them children.

The shooter did turn the weapon on himself after the shooting spree ended.

Russian media images showed the shooter dead, lying in a pool of his own blood.

The shooter reportedly had braided keychains on his weapon, reminiscent of the Columbine shooting.

He also had the names “Eric” and “Dylan” on one weapon and the word “Columbine” on the other one.

Russia’s Investigative Committee stated, “Checks are being made into his adherence to neo-fascist views and Nazi ideology.

“Currently investigators … are conducting a search of his residence and studying the personality of the attacker, his views and surrounding milieu.”

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov added, “President [Vladimir ] Putin deeply mourns deaths of people and children in the school, where a terrorist act took place.

“The president expressed his deepest condolences to all those who lost their loved ones, their children in this tragic incident, and wished the soonest recovery to those wounded in the inhumane terrorist attack.”
