Nathan Wade confirmed multiple White House meetings during Trump probe

According to a newly leaked transcript, Nathan Wade, a former special prosecutor for Fulton County, met with Biden administration aides at least twice while District Attorney Fani Willis was investigating Trump's administration.

As part of Chairman Jim Jordan's investigation of the previous president's prosecutions, staff members of the House Judiciary Committee interviewed Wade last week, as Fox News reported.

Last year, a grand jury brought charges against Trump and his associates for allegedly trying to reverse the Georgia presidential election results from 2020.

Wade, who worked for and was in a romantic relationship with prosecutor Fanni Willis, was being questioned about a Trump prosecution that the former president asserted was biased. That claim would be supported if it's found that President Joe Biden or his staff consulted on the prosecution.

What Happened

Even though Wade was coy about whether or not his purported meetings with White House officials were remote or in-person, he did admit that evidence such as invoices showed that talks had taken place.

According to the transcript, Wade was interrogated regarding an invoice line that reads "travel to Athens; conf with White House counsel, May 23rd, 2022."

"So if it says conf with White House counsel, that would mean there was a conf with White House counsel?" investigators asked, according to the transcript.

In response, Wade clarified that each idea marked by the semicolon following "travel to Athens" stood on its own.

More Questions

The investigator went on to ask, "So if you billed for a conf with White House counsel, would that have occurred?"

Wade challenged, "If I billed for a conf with White House counsel, this document doesn’t say that that cong with White House counsel happened in Athens. That’s not what that says."

When asked again if he was billing for a meeting with a White House counsel, Wade responded, "Yes."

According to Wade's subsequent statements, he was unable to remember specifics of the meeting that was marked as "Interview with D.C./White House, November 18th, 2022." The rate is $250 for eight hours. The transcript states that the cost was $2,000.
