Nancy Pelosi claims election 'Would have been different' with an open primary process
Nancy Pelosi is FINALLY admitting what Americans have known all along:
Democrats should have had a true and fair primary instead of just handing Kamala Harris the nomination.
Of course, Pelosi thinks that for a different reason than most of America does. Voters wanted there to be a primary because that's the only fair way to choose a president. Pelosi has regrets about the lack of a primary only because Democrats lost.
Not only is she now out in public saying that there should have been a primary, she's doing it in the way that is most insulting to Harris.
Instead of admitting that everyone was in a tough spot, and voters simply wanted Donald Trump, Pelosi appeared to pass the buck to Harris when it comes to liberals' failures.
"The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary," Pelosi said.
An open primary never happened.
Instead, Joe Biden endorsed Harris to take his place on the ticket just a few hours after he announced the end of his re-election campaign.
Fewer than two days later, Harris effectively declared herself the Democratic Party nominee.
Now, Pelosi is claiming that other liberals were never really cool with that plan, despite none of them speaking up to say otherwise.
"And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in [a primary] and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen. We live with what happened," Pelosi said. "And because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different."
Sorry Kamala, even liberals hate you now. You were gifted the nomination, and you blew it.
