Elon Musk has cut the Twitter payroll again.
James Baker, who was serving as Deputy General Counsel, has been fired.
Musk terminated Baker on Tuesday after the role he played regarding the Hunter Biden laptop was revealed.
Time to Go
The issues for Baker go far deeper than just this one issue.
Prior to working for Twitter, Baker was working for the FBI, having left the agency in 2018.
As luck would have it, Baker was part of the FBI team processing the FISA warrants that were associated with the Steele Dossier.
Fool me once… shame on me. Fool me twice…
In the data drop from Twitter on Friday night, Baker's role was laid out, which created some concerns for Elon Musk.
On Tuesday, Musk announced that he was parting ways with Baker…
Baker ultimately supported the suppression of the story, writing, "I support the conclusion that we need more facts to assess whether the materials were hacked.
"At this stage, however, it's reasonable for us to assume that they may have been and that caution is warranted."
In light of concerns about Baker’s possible role in suppression of information important to the public dialogue, he was exited from Twitter today

It is fairly easy to conclude that Baker has an ax to grind with Trump for whatever reason.
As if this drama was not interesting enough already, when Musk initially ordered the files to be reviewed and released, it was Baker that was reviewing the files.
Matt Taibbi, one of the journalists to whom the files were released, documented that on Twitter, discussing how the two journalists were running into issues…
Over the weekend, while we both dealt with obstacles to new searches, it was @BariWeiss who discovered that the person in charge of releasing the files was someone named Jim. When she called to ask “Jim’s” last name, the answer came back: “Jim Baker.”

Rep. James Comer (R-KY), who will take over as the chair of the House Oversight Committee, stated, "Baker and [former Twitter executive] Vijaya Gadde are probably the two most high-profile Twitter employees that we want to hear from.
"My advice to them is, prior to coming before the Oversight Committee in January or February, as quick as we can get them in front of the oversight committee, is they need to look very hard to try to find evidence as to why they suppressed this story."
What is even more shocking than this story is that the mainstream media is still dismissing this entire scandal to protect Joe Biden.
This is a conspiracy at the highest levels of government, and nobody seems to care.
