MTG calls for Biden's resignation amid news of $200K payment from his brother

In the wake of new revelations from the House Oversight Committee about Biden family business and financial dealings, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is demanding that the president resign due to what she characterized as his involvement in “money laundering,” as Breitbart reports.

Greene's take came on the heels of a statement from Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) in which he brought forward new information about a curious – and possibly concerning – “direct payment” of $200,000 from James Biden to Joe Biden back in 2018, a development on which Fox News reported.

“Direct payment” revealed

The information that prompted Greene's demand for Biden's resignation came from bank records Comer's panel subpoenaed earlier this year from Hunter Biden as well as James Biden.

Those records yielded details of a direct payment of $200K from James Biden to Joe Biden, which was made via personal check.

Notably, James Biden had received $600,000 worth of loans from a financially distressed company – Americore – with which he was affiliated and whose directors had been persuaded that the Biden family name would open doors with investors in the Middle East.

On March 18, 2018, Americore wired James Biden $200,000, and on that very same day, he turned around and wrote the aforementioned personal check to his brother, Joe Biden, in what was described as a “loan repayment.”

Comer suggested that even if the funds were in fact a “personal loan repayment, it's still troubling that Joe Biden's ability to be paid back by his brother depended on the success of his family's shady financial dealings.”

During a subsequent appearance on Fox News' Hannity, Comer said, “It's not just that they got a $200,000 payment that Joe Biden received a $200,000 payment. It's where the money came from. And the money came from Jim Biden, where he influence-peddled to a company in the United States that he went and said that he could help through his brother's contacts get capital from the Middle East.”

Greene weighs in

Close on the heels of Comers' announcement, Greene told Breitbart, “We finally have direct evidence of money laundering. It was a $200,000 check made out to Joe Biden, directly from Jim Biden, on the exact same day that Jim Biden received $200,000 from a foreign investment.”

Speaking to Joe Biden's future, Greene added, “He should resign. If he doesn't resign, he should be impeached, but also, the Department of Justice has to bring charges against them. This is complete evidence of a crime.”

Hinting at revelations still on the way, Greene went on, “And we've only gotten started; this is just the first shred of evidence, of direct evidence, to Joe Biden that we're producing, and I'm telling you, there's a lot more to come.”

The Republican firebrand further suggested that the fruits of “selling out Joe Biden's power and influence” reached “hundreds of millions of dollars,” but precisely when additional evidence supporting that contention might be released, only time will tell.
