Mother of Wounded Soldier from Abbey Gate Opens Up About Jill Biden
Tiffany Andrews, mother of Abbey Gate survivor Marine Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews, is not happy with how she and her son have been treated.
Sergeant Vargas-Andrews is one of the wounded survivors of Biden’s disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal.
She is now claiming that Jill Biden and this administration have abandoned her and her son during their time of need.
Ghosted
Tiffany is a small business owner who uprooted her entire life to help take care of her son after he was wounded in the attack.
Initially, she had some positive interactions with Jill Biden and the administration, but she claims that all changed after a spell.
Ms. Andrews stated, “My naivety, right? I’m thinking the government’s going to swoop in and take care of us. Oh, God, was I so wrong,”
According to Andrews, they were visited by Biden, receiving a basket of muffins, a picture with Joe Biden, and some phone calls.
Jill reportedly initially asked her what they could do for them, but Ms. Andrews really had no idea at the time, as the situation had just occurred.
Andrews explained, “We had a very lengthy phone call where I took some notes, and I still have those notes. And I went over all of this with her, and she had shared with me at that time that she had been involved in the prior caregiver legislation, and [that] she was involved in writing it, she said, ‘you’re right.’ She goes ‘we never contemplated a business owner being a caregiver, or somebody in your unique shoes.'
“I appreciated the acknowledgement, and I was hopeful. And I was hopeful that maybe I’d been funneled in a direction with somebody that might be able to help.”
Andrews then claimed that eventually, the correspondence stopped and she could not get ahold of anyone.

Vanessa Valdivia, a press secretary in the First Lady’s Office, responded to the report, stating, “There was engagement between our office and Sgt. Tyler Vargas-Andrews’ family.
“Joining Forces is informed by the lived experiences of military families, and brings their stories to policymakers at the White House and across the Administration.
“The experiences of military and veteran caregivers and their families informed President Biden’s executive order on increasing access to high-quality care and supporting caregivers for families.
“The President’s executive order specifically directed actions to expand options for veterans with disabilities, and better support military and veteran caregiving families,”
I could be wrong, but it seems that when the cameras stopped rolling and the story worked its way out of the news cycle, the White House stopped caring.
To say the least, this is just not a good look for this administration.
