MO lawmaker reveals his missionary daughter, son-in-law killed in Haiti

Shocking news surrounding a Missouri Lawmaker’s family will leave you heartbroken.

Republican state Rep. Ben Baker shared the devastating news that his daughter and his son-in-law have been killed in Haiti.

The pair were living as missionaries in Haiti before they were murdered by a violent gang.

Baker took to Facebook to share the news.

“My heart is broken in a thousand pieces. I’ve never felt this kind of pain. Most of you know my daughter and son-in-law Davy and Natalie Lloyd are full time missionaries in Haiti,” Baker started out in the post.

“They were attacked by gangs this evening and were both killed. They went to Heaven together. Please pray for my family we desperately need strength. And please pray for the Lloyd family as well. I have no other words for now.” Baker said.

The news has spread so wide that even former President Donald Trump has commented on the pair’s murder.

Trump took to Truth Social, his social media platform, to share his condolences and a call to take ACTION against the killers.

“God bless Davy and Natalie. Such a tragedy. Haiti is totally out of control. Find the killers NOW,” Trump wrote in his post.

One of Baker’s priorities since learning of the murders has been retrieving the pair's bodies from Haiti.

Since the news of Baker’s daughter and son-in-law’s murders have spread, Baker has since shared another update on Facebook.

“Things are looking very positive for the transport home for Davy and Natalie. There are two very good options for the family to choose from, mostly settled. Prayers for their discernment in their choice, and then for all the logistics to be worked out smoothly as planned. Rough timeline seems to be about mid to late next week, best case scenario. Dealing with a foreign country presents its unforeseen challenges, but we are all hopeful,” Baker wrote on Facebook.

Baker was set to appear on Fox News on Saturday to discuss the horrific incident.

We pray for the Baker family during this unimaginably painful time.
