Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt dropped a Fauci bomb this week.
According to Schmitt, while Fauci was selling masks as an effective tool to limit the spread, he told those closest to him a different story.
Schmitt cited emails that Fauci allegedly sent to friends during the height of the pandemic.
Unmasked
Some will dismiss this as conspiracy, but Fauci's stance on masks during the early days of the pandemic is documented.
He had done interviews where he literally laughed at the idea of masks being a deterrent to the spread.
On Friday, Schmitt tweeted, "Another tidbit from Fauci depo: In Feb '20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31.
"On Apr 3 he's adamant masks should be worn even though he couldn't cite a single study to prove it. Mandates followed—Lives ruined.

Fauci was in the hot seat on Wednesday to be deposed for the lawsuit against Biden officials for allegedly colluding with big tech to keep opposing voices silenced.
Schmitt filed the suit with Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry.
In their joint brief, they stated, "Defendant Dr. Anthony Fauci, a senior federal government official, coordinating with others, orchestrated a campaign to discredit the lab-leak hypothesis in early 2020.
"As director of [National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases], Dr. Fauci had funded risky 'gain-of-function' research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology through intermediaries such as EcoHealth Alliance, headed by Dr. Peter Daszak.
"Thus, if the lab-leak theory were established, Dr. Fauci and Dr. Daszak could be potentially implicated in funding the research on viruses that caused the COVID19 pandemic and killed millions of people worldwide."
Schmitt also sent out this tweet…
Some takeaways from the deposition of Fauci:
▪️Fauci knew the Lab Leak theory had merit but it’d come back to him & sought to immediately discredit it
▪️He defended lockdowns
▪️The rest of us “don’t have the ability” to determine what’s best for ourselvesMore to come—Stay tuned

This is just the beginning for Fauci, as Republicans are expected to drop the hammer on him once they get control of the committees.
He may be out of office, but he is nowhere near being out of the line of fire.
