Migrants Shipped to Martha’s Vineyard Receive Special Work Visas

Martha’s Vineyard has been in the news quite a bit over the last few years.

First, it was due to the sprawling estate purchased by the Obamas after Barack Obama left the White House.

Then it was because of migrant flights sponsored by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, which we are now learning has resulted in special visas being awarded to some of the migrants.

We have to go back to September 2022 for the origins of this report.

If you recall, at the time, the surge was out of control and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis offered to lend a helping hand to Texas to move some of the thousands of illegal immigrants that were crossing the border on a daily basis.

DeSantis sponsored two flights that took migrants to Martha’s Vineyard.

Those flights drew the ire of Democrats who did not like the migrants messing around in their little elite playground.

When videos initially surfaced, the migrants seemed ecstatic that they had been taken here, but that soon changed with Democrats changing the narrative to a possible crime by DeSantis.

This led to Sheriff Javier Salazar, an elected Democrat, opening a criminal investigation into the matter.

The migrant narrative suddenly changed that they were duped into going to Martha’s Vineyard on the promise of jobs and housing, a narrative that was firmly rejected by the DeSantis camp.

At the time, DeSantis’ office stated, “Immigrants have been more than willing to leave Bexar County after being abandoned, homeless, and ‘left to fend for themselves.’

“Florida gave them an opportunity to seek greener pastures in a sanctuary jurisdiction that offered greater resources for them, as we expected.”

Even so, at least three of the migrants on DeSantis’ flights have received U-Visas, which are visas given to migrants who have fallen “victim” to a crime while here in the United States.

These visas enable them to legally work in the country.

But my question is this… if they were given U-Visas, why has DeSantis, or anyone for that matter, not been charged with a crime?

Could this possibly be Democrats politicizing the system to help their precious illegal immigrants who continue to ignore our immigration laws to enter the country?

It sure seems that way to me!
