Migrant Charged in ‘Stranger Rape’ Case in Virginia

Be it red or blue states, they all have pockets where certain crimes just don’t happen.

In Herndon, VA, that would be cases of “stranger rape,” which the city had not seen in more than a decade.

That changed recently after an illegal Honduran immigrant was charged with raping a woman on a hiking trail.

Democrats would love us all to believe that every illegal immigrant they have allowed to enter this country is an upstanding citizen.

That simply is not true.

There are those in the mix who come here with bad intent on their minds, and 31-year-old Denis Humberto Navarette Romero would appear to be one of those individuals.

The man has a record a mile long, as they say, and had only recently been released back onto the streets by police.

In addressing the media, Herndon, VA, Police Chief Maggie DeBoard stated, “This is the only stranger rape that we have had in the town in my more than 12 years as chief of police.”

Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin did not hold his tongue for police setting this man free rather than turning him over to ICE to be deported.

Youngkin stated, “I am heartsick for this victim and outraged that local Fairfax County officials recklessly release violent illegal immigrants who should have been prosecuted and deported.

“This is a dereliction of their most basic duty to keep people safe. Prioritizing violent illegal immigrants over the safety of Fairfax residents is unacceptable.”

DeBoard added, “What is disturbing is the number of times this individual has been arrested and released. He has continued to reoffend and his behavior has escalated to a rape in a very public area.”

This is the real danger of sanctuary cities, and I can tell you flat out that if I were advising the victim in this case, I would already have her filling a lawsuit against police and city officials that released this man without turning him over to ICE, as should have been done.

These are avoidable crimes. These are crimes that never would have been committed had authorities done what they were supposed to do.

This is what happens the party that constantly speaks of the rule of law blatantly defies our immigration laws.
