Donald Trump just landed another big endorsement.
The entire congressional delegation from Michigan has put their faith in Donald Trump for 2024.
This includes Reps. Tim Walberg (R-MI), Bill Huizenga (R-MI), John Moolenaar (R-MI), Jack Bergman (R-MI), Lisa McClain (R-MI), and John James (R-MI), reports Breitbart.
Staying with Their Horse
Every name you read about was endorsed by Trump in 2022, so this was really no big surprise to see them all fall in line behind Trump.
The only real shock here is that they jumped the gun and dropped their endorsement so early in the race.
The group collectively stated, “President Trump has proven he has the ability to deliver results on Day One and also the ability to win in key battleground states like Michigan, being the only Republican to win a Presidential race here since 1988.”
The endorsement continued, “Under his leadership, Michigan received increased funding to protect our Great Lakes and a new lock at the Soo Locks, improving one of our most important infrastructure projects in North America. President Trump will rebuild a great American economy, unleash domestic energy, secure our border, and make America safe again.”
Michigan will be a state that will once again play a major role in the general election.
It is among the dozen or so battleground states that will decide this election, so while this endorsement is great for Trump, the voters are the ones that are going to have the real say here.
You guys know me and know what I think about most endorsements… they are nothing but headline grabbers.
Very few people have shown their endorsement actually makes a difference in the race, and I would wager few, if any, Michigan voters will be swayed by that endorsement.
I am not trying to take anything away from Trump, but I want people to be realistic here because Trump lost Michigan by 2.8 percent (154,000+ votes) in 2020.
Point is, it is not members of Congress that Trump needs to convince… it is the voters.
