Michelle Obama Joins Roster of Speakers at DNC

The Democrat National Convention is suddenly turning into a star-studded event.

One of the names initially left off the speakers list was Michelle Obama, as there was reportedly some bad blood between Michelle and Kamala.

That, however, no longer appears to be the case, as Michelle has been confirmed as a speaker at the DNC.

She’s Here

Expect all the powers that be to come out of the woodwork for the Dems this week to show their support for Harris.

Even though we believe Harris was not the first choice for some, especially with the way the DNC went about putting her place, it now appears that everyone has put their differences aside to beat the bad orange man in the general election.

On Monday, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, Joe Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and New York Gov. Kathy Hochul were all slated to speak.

On Tuesday, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D), second gentleman Doug Emhoff, Barack Obama, and Michelle Obama are slated to speak.

On Wednesday, Tim Walz and Bill Clinton will wrap things up before the nomination day.

On Thursday, Harris will deliver the main address after having accepted the nomination by the party (technically, this already took place two weeks ago via virtual roll call).

Initially, the Obamas were reportedly upset over Harris being handed the nomination, wanting to put on a show to pretend the American people had a say in replacing Joe Biden.

After five days, however, they both fell in line, publicly endorsing Harris, with Michelle stating, “I can’t have this phone call without saying to my girl Kamala: I am proud of you. This is going to be historic.”

What will be interesting will be to see how Democrats handle the protests that are taking place outside the convention, including pro-Palestine protesters who want Israel to call a cease-fire in its war against Hamas.

Biden has touted a cease-fire agreement as being close, but reports on Monday morning had stated that Hamas was going to reject the proposal, likely because it feels it has more power in these talks because of Dems constantly calling out Israel.
