MI Islamic Leader Prefers Trump Over Harris
As most of you know, Michigan is a very important state for Donald Trump.
It is one of the key Blue Wall states as well as one of two, the other being Pennsylvania, being targeted by Trump to block Harris from winning.
Harris now has another problem… local Muslim leaders do not like her.
We Prefer Trump
Michigan has a rather large Muslim population, having one of the heavier concentrations in the country, along with Minnesota.
We have already seen reports that Muslims in these states may not vote Harris for a variety of reasons, and now there is one more.
Imam Husham Al-Husainy of Karbalaa Islamic Center in Dearborn shed a little light on this during a recent interview.
Al-Husainy stated, “So the reason I lean towards Mr. Trump is because I found him closer to the Bible, and Torah, and the Quran because I support peace, no war.
“We should stop the war, whether in Europe or in Middle East. And I believe in justice evenly between all the children of Ibrahim [Abraham].
“And I thirdly believe in the morality, which is the holy logic in the Bible, and the Torah, and the Quran, where God supports normality and respect; appreciates the marriage between male and female. So this is why I believe that we need a special president, special leader.”
There are two rather large movements sweeping through Michigan right now that could easily hand this state to Trump.
First, there is an organization trying to get 75% of the Muslim population to not support Harris (Biden won 65% of the Muslim vote nationwide in 2020).
There is also the “uncommitted” movement, which was very effective in primary voting.
With Michigan having about 200,000 Muslims eligible to vote, that population could easily swing the election to Trump if they vote for him, or make it very difficult for Harris to win just by sitting out.
In the last three polls taken, Donald Trump is +2%, tied, and +3%.
The path of least resistance for Trump is to win North Carolina and Georgia, then split Nevada and Arizona, as well as splitting Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Right now, while polling is still tight, that scenario is very much in play and in Trump’s favor based on the most recent polls taken.
