Well, well, well…
Is anyone surprised that crypto swindler Sam Bankman-Fried was spending time at the White House before his empire fell apart?
According to a Bloomberg report, Bankman-Fried had met with White House officials on at least four different occasions.
The Swamp Runs Deep
Bankman-Fried met with Steve Ricchetti at least three times.
Ricchetti is now serving as the counselor to Joe Biden. The most recent of these meetings allegedly took place on September 8.
Bankman-Fried also reportedly met with Deputy Chief of Staff for Biden, Bruce Reed.
Additionally, Bankman-Fried’s younger brother attended a meeting at the White House on May 13.
Bankman-Fried was a major Democrat donor during the last cycle before losing $1.8 billion on his crypto exchange. We know he had given at least $50,000 to the Biden Victory Fund and another $2,800 directly to the Biden campaign.
In all, Bankman-Fried is believed to have spent about $10 million backing Joe Biden’s campaign through various donations to organization that then supported the Democrat’s campaign.
The White House has been very quiet as to whether that money will be returned to help pay back investors that were swindled by Bankman-Fried.
For congressional candidates, Bankman-Fried donated more than $39 million to campaigns. The only individual that spent more is our old buddy George Soros. While some Democrats have already stated they would return the funds, far more are being very quiet about it.
Bankman-Fried is also now facing eight criminal counts, including conspiracy to commit campaign finance violations by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York.
The fact that Biden has not come out already to say the funds will be returned as well as not imploring all other Democrats who received funds to do the same is inexcusable.
