Merrick Garland Makes Surprise Trip to Ukraine

Call me crazy, but what the hell is the attorney general of the United States doing traveling to Ukraine?

There is literally no reason on this planet that he would need to do such a thing other than to grab a cheap headline and a photo op.

This would come at a seven-figure price to the American people, of course, but what does he care because it is not his money?

That, however, is exactly what reports are now saying regarding Merrick Garland, reports USA Today.

Why?

Ukraine seems to be the only thing that this administration has to hang its hat on these days, so they are all jumping in with both feet.

Even though American support is waning for Ukraine, this administration has vowed an open checkbook that will give Ukraine supplies for as long as it needs them.

In the midst of a war, Ukraine hosted a "United for Justice Conference" and invited Merrick Garland to go, reports Fox News.

The trip was kept quiet for security reasons, the second time that Garland has traveled over there since the war has started.

According to White House officials, Garland "held several meetings and reaffirmed our determination to hold Russia accountable for crimes committed in its unjust and unprovoked invasion against its sovereign neighbor."

That's great, but could he not have done that via Zoom? After all, that is how Joe Biden with East Palestine officials after the toxic spill.

Nothing gets under my skin more than photo-op trips by politicians, especially when we have so many issues at home that need to be dealt with.

If Garland was going to go to Ukraine for pictures, why would he not go when Joe Biden went a few days ago to save the American people some money? When you consider the resources that are needed for such a trip to take place, they are literally taking millions of American taxpayer dollars and flushing them down the toilet just so they can have their day in the media.
